Radford City Council approved the Radford Historic Figures Project at the Monday, May 14, 2018 City Council Meeting. The project will result in a monument recognizing Radford's Historical Figures, such as Governors Dalton and Tyler. The project will result in a bronze plaque being mounted in a park on Glencoe grounds, which will include a bench, monument and patio area for all to enjoy.
Citizen Jack Ratcliffe came up with the idea for the monument to recognize figures who are important to Radford's history and has already begun fundraising in the community for the project.
