Overview
Board members, who must be residents of the City of Radford, are appointed by the Radford City Council for 4-year terms. All meetings are open to the public.
Responsibilities
Established by the City Code of Ordinances Section 2-365. The Library Board advises the city concerning the public libraries, reading rooms, branches and substations. A professional Library Director is hired and supervised by the City Manager. The Radford Library is supported by the Lamplighters, a local non profit groups that provides volunteers and fund-raising support for the library.
