The Radford Planning Commission Meeting Scheduled for March 16, 2020 has been cancelled.
This decision was made to help with social distancing as recommended by the VDH and CDC.
The Radford Recreation Center and Radford Public Library will be closed to the public beginning March 16 through March 29, at a minimum.
The following programs and events have been cancelled at the Recreation Center:
Youth Basketball Tournament scheduled for March 14
All Group Fitness Classes
All Senior Programs
All Youth Programs, both in the Recreation Center and in the Parks
All Adult Basketball Games
Youth Wrestling Tournament Scheduled for the week of March 16
Pickle-ball for Seniors
Special events, group gatherings, and public meetings.
Parks and trails will remain open, but we encourage residents to recreate at their own risk and to practice social distancing and good hygiene.
The following programs have been cancelled at the Library:
All special events, group gatherings, and public meetings.
The decision to close these facilities is two-fold; it helps with "social distancing" and also provides time to sanitize, clean, and perform maintenance on these buildings for when the time comes to reopen. This time period is also consistent with Gov. Ralph Northam’s order that all K-12 schools in Virginia will be closed.

All City public service operations and facilities are operating on a normal schedule, with exception of the Recreation Center and Library.

Radford University is closed through April 17, 2020.
Town of Christiansburg Aquatic Center is closed until March 29, 2020.
Radford Transit Schedules are being modified based on population and destination needs.
