RADFORD NAMES NEW ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
City of Radford Names Blair Hoke New Economic Development Director
Radford, Va. - The City of Radford announced that Blair Hoke will serve as its Economic Development Director. Hoke served as General Manager for the Pulaski Yankees – a local Minor League Baseball team – for the past four seasons and played a pivotal role as a business leader in the recent growth of Pulaski County.
Hoke was named the 2017 Appalachian League Executive of the Year, member of the Appalachian League Executive Committee, Board Member for the Pulaski Tourism Committee, and active in many local chambers. Other recent accolades include the 2017 Women Taking Care of Businesses Award, Pulaski Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Award, and the 2016 Appalachian League Woman of the Year Award.
Prior to her time in Minor League Baseball, Hoke held the position of Growing the Future Coordinator – a community partnership with 50 public schools and Shelor Motor Mile – to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for local education.

A lifetime native of the New River Valley and 2010 Radford University graduate, Hoke is invested in the growth and development of the City of Radford.

Hoke continued, “I am eager to begin working to increase new business, focus on current business retention, and continue to foster growth in the local economy. Hoke began her duties with the City of Radford on May 14, 2018.
