    Author Tim Poland will speak at the Radford Public Library on Wednesday, November 14 at 6:30 PM about his new novel "Yellow Stonefly." Copies will be available for purchase and signing after the event. Tim Poland lives near the Blue Ridge Mountains in southwestern Virginia, where is is a professor emeritus of English at Radford University. His fiction, poetry, and nonfiction have appeared widely in various literary magazines, and he is the author of the novel "The Safety of Deeper Water."

    Simone Poirier-Bures is a local writer who has published two books of fiction and an award-winning memoir of Greece. Her newest book "Threads in the Acadian Fabric" is a history/memoir which tells the stories of nine generations of her ancestors from the 1640s to the 1960s. Copies of her book will be available for purchase and signing after the event. This event is free and open to the public!
